Hi folks,

After installing Squeezecenter 7.3.3, I have a problem that is really
puzzling me.
SC is installed on Ubuntu 9.04 using the package that is supplied by
Logitech aka Slim Devices.
Before installing I had copied 38 folders/albums to the Music Folder
for the SC, which is on a raid5 array.
I configured SC to read the Music Folder and it actually 'saw' all 38
folders.ums to the
While playing the music without a problem I continued copying music
from my old computer to the Music Folder.

After copying a few hundred albums to the Music Folder I wanted to play
one of these albums.
SC did not find anything else than the 38 albums that were there in the
beginning and it does not find the few hundred albums, no matter what I
try.
I can see the albums listed in a terminal, and the filebrowser shows
the albums.
I have tested this with a different Music Folder with the same result:
SC finds the albums that are already in the Music Folder but new albums
are not found.

Does anybody have a similar problem? I have the idea that the necessary
MySQL has a bug but I cannot say that for sure.

You told SC to read the 38 album folders in the Music Folder.

Did you also tell SC to read all the OTHER folders AFTER you finished
copying? If SC doesn't know about your music it can't stream it.

(Although, you should be able to play everything by going to Music
Library > Music Folder > etc....)

Try SC > Settings > Clear and rescan.

I told SC to read 'all' the albums in the Music Folder and the number
was 38 at that moment.
I've used SC on WinXP pro before and it immediately sees every new
folder that I place in the Music Folder, without the need for scanning
the Music Library.
I have tried all possibilities such as rescan etc. But if SC does not
see my folders it cannot scan them.
